That New New

Well, there is just SO MUCH NEW GOOD LOCAL MUSIC dropping right now so I thought I would put you on to some of the goodness. And by the way, it's all FREE. Here is the latest and greatest from some of the town's finest representatives:

The SOTA boys channel their month long jaunt in LA into a short, sweet and focused 3 track EP named after the ultimate Californicator.

Everyone's favorite martians Thee Satisfaction join one of the town's most dedicated and prolific producers (Read: Lab Rat) O.C. Notes for a jazzy, cooled out jam that makes me want to lick my fingers.

Onry Ozborn's newest project, with a brand new name to confuse you. Don't sleep tho, the man that brought you The Gigantics has done it again. This album is available for free download on their myspace and will garner some heavy rotations.

Phee Dill has a really dope production style that is very Northwest, very Seattle. Lots of chill chops and jazzy samples looped with care that have served many local acts well, including one of my favorites The Physics. Here he is collaborating with Fresh Espresso's Rick Rude and the results are definitely not juvenile. Grown Folks only.

If you haven't heard of HellaDope by now, I feel sorry for you. Rapper/singer Jerm teams up with soon to be super-producer/rapper TaySean to produce some of the dopest (hence the name) cuts that the greater King County area has ever seen. Equal parts West Coast bounce, Detroit groove, and Northwest fresh, with a little space dust sprinkled in the mix... they have a unique vibe that is perfect party music for any day of the week.
