Here is the shiny new video for the cut "Staying in Love" from my number one man crush Raphael Saadiq.
If you have been living under a rock for the last year, Saadiq has an album out called The Way I See It that is the best thing to happen to eardrums since perhaps the beginning of time, or at least the spoken word. If you came out from your hiding place in the last couple months, you may or may not know that he is about to embark on another tour this Monday starting off in Seattle (O HAI!) and will be graced by the best opening act of all time...Janelle Monae (the tour lists her on the bill, but the showbox website does not?? hmmmmmmmm). I am madly in love with both of them and not ashamed to say so at all.
So get your ass in gear and watch the vid, then go get tickets at the Showbox Website. Honestly don't get them online. TicketBASTARD will change you up the wazzoo. Go to Fred Meyer or the Showbox box office and avoid paying an extra $10 a ticket.
